Logan R. is a 16-year-old who lives with his family in Milton, Georgia. For fun, he likes to play video games and spend time with family, as well as participate in Boy Scouts.
He also is affected by immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), a disorder that can lead to easy or excessive bruising and bleeding. The bleeding results from unusually low levels of platelets, the cells that help blood clot.
He received his diagnosis when he was 8-years old. His life has been affected in that he has not been able to participate in sports and many other fun activities.
Therapies made from plasma help brighten Logan’s day and treatments help him have a more typical life of a teenager.
“I do not know what I would do without having medicines made from plasma,” shares Logan, who enjoys health-related classes he is taking in school and wants to become a nurse. “Think about the life-changing difference you are making for someone. Plasma donation is an amazing act of love and kindness.”
Logan also appreciates CSL Plasma center team members and has enjoyed visiting local centers as an Adopt-a-Patient. He shares: “Thank you for collecting plasma and making sure plasma is safe for me.”
